Stay Safe Advice

As the evenings become darker earlier, we would like to remind residents to take a few simple precautions to help keep themselves and their families safe.

Personal Safety -

Stick to well-lit routes whenever possible.

Avoid using mobile phones or headphones at high volume when walking alone.

Let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return.

If you feel unsafe, trust your instincts and move to a busy area or call for help.

Cyclists and Pedestrians -

Wear bright or reflective clothing.

Ensure bicycles have working front and rear lights.

Take extra care when crossing roads, as visibility is reduced during darker evenings.

Look Out for Each Other -

Check in on vulnerable neighbours, friends, and family members. A simple phone call or visit can make a big difference during the darker months.
